‘Crispy Children’ tells the story of a starving elf named De who was propelled to do evil acts in exchange for food. Having come across with several hard moments when being caught between harming or helping others, De found strength in his conscious and was able to endure in spite of threats. This thrilling but funny journey of children hunting ends on a positive note by celebrating the hero who lives within each of us.
Libby was born into a home of a temporary resettlement estate in Hong Kong during the 1970s. With the love of her grandmother and the support from the government-subsidized education system, she was able to receive higher education and developed her different interests, including writing and drawing. After completing her master’s degrees in Psychology and Business Administration, Libby pursued a region-wide corporate career for more than 10 years until her first daughter was born. The life changing moment inspired her to start a career in creating children’s books, through which she hopes to help young readers learn about self-love and the importance of developing their own talents. “Checklisted Beauty” is her first attempt in pursuing this new life goal, with more stories coming up in the pipeline. In 2017 Libby has her second book “My Best Friend Sunny”. Both of her books were on the best children book rank.
Libby currently resides in Hong Kong with her husband and their two daughters. She has been studying Illustration and Sequential Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Hong Kong.
